This was a massively late hopped and double dry hopped juice bomb! The aromas of fresh grapefruit, mango and passionfruit were a party for your nostrils, whilst a refreshing bitterness satiated your fiercest beer craving. Lusciously delicious and ridiculously smashable.

Released: May 2021
Hops: Centennial, Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe & Nelson Sauvin
Malt: Pale, Crystal, Aurora, Redback, SuperNova & Shepherds Delight
Yeast: US05
ABV: 6.5%
This is Grum's favourite style of beer to brew, so you know you're in for a treat. A solid malt body with loads of caramel and toffee notes was complimented by layers of hoppy pine and citrus. The perfect balance of malt sweetness and hoppy bitterness.

We have taken our trophy winning Milk Stout, doubled it and then aged it in PX barrels from Mount Langi Ghiran. Loads of rich coffee, dark chocolate, candied fruit with a touch of fine oak.

#023 DOUBLE MILK STOUT
Released: May 2019
Hops: Chinook, Simcoe
Malt: Ale, Chocolate, Roast Barley, Munich, Oats, Crystal
Yeast: US05
ABV: 8.2%
The bigger more intense brother of our core Milk Stout. Aromas of rich milk chocolate & vanilla bean. Smooth mouthfeel layered with velvety cocoa, vanilla, toffee and espresso to finish.

Released: May 2019
Hops: Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, Cascade
Malt: Pale, Wheat, Munich, Oats, Light Crystal
Yeast: US05
ABV: 6.5%
Our second iteration of a Hazy IPA and we're loving it like you'd love any second child! Like the first, it too was hopped very, very late in the piece and double dry hopped to boot. A fantastic juice bomb we just can't get enough of.

#021 SXPA (Mid-Strength)
Released: April 2019
Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Cascade
Malt: Pale, Carapils, Munich, Oats, Carahell
Yeast: US05
ABV: 3.5%
Our second mid-strength in the series, however this time around we went the hoppy route. A bright and refreshing session beer. eXtra hoppy and eXtra pale giving tropical and citrus notes and a clean finish with gentle bitterness. Be refreshed.

#020 Raspberry Saison
Released: February 2019
Hops: Citra, Sorachi Ace, Nelson Sauvin
Malt: Pale, Pilsner
Yeast: White Labs Belgian II Saison (WLP 566)
Other: Raspberry Puree
ABV: 6.3%
The fruit adds sweet, raspberry aromas and a tartness to the palate, which compliments the typical farmhouse funk.

#019 Passionfruit Sour
Released: February 2019
Hops: Nelson Sauvin
Malt: Pale, Wheat
Yeast: US05
Other: Passionfruit Puree
ABV: 4.4%
A kettle sour with a big hit of passionfruit. Tropical flavours add to the acidity and tartness of the beer to make it uber refreshing.

#018 HIPA (Hazy IPA)
Released: February 2019
Hops: Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, Cascade
Malt: Pale, Wheat, Munich, Oats, Light Crystal
Yeast: US05
ABV: 6.0%
The HIPA is a massively late hopped and double dry hopped beer, giving it hop haze. It is not sweetened (no lactose or adjuncts), so although IBU is very low, there is still a perceived bitterness from the hop/yeast ("biotransformation” due to adding dry hops while there is still active ferment).

#017 XPA (Extra Pale Ale)
Released: January 2019
Hops: Centennial, Citra, Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade, Nelson Sauvin
Malt: Pale, Munich, Wheat, Carahell
Yeast: US05
ABV: 4.9%
A bright and refreshing session beer. With a tropical hop hit, light malt and clean finish. Drink one... Drink many.

#016 Scotch Ale
Released: July 2017
Hops: Chinook, Simcoe
Malt: Ale, Caramunich I, Caramunich II, Munich I, Melanoidin, Smoked Malt, Rolled Oats, Peated Malt, Roasted Barley
Yeast: US05
ABV: 7.5%
This Scotch Ale harks back to our second ever commercial release, and partly due to a hopped up version we did as a collaboration with KAIJU! This is a big beer, with heavy malt flavour, a kick of peat and a sweet finish.

#015 Double Milk Stout
Released: May 2017
Hops: Chinook, Simcoe
Malt: Ale, Chocolate, Munich I, Rolled Oats, Dark Crystal, Roast Barley
Yeast: US05
ABV: 7.7%
In the spirit of more is more, this takes our core range Milk Stout and doubles up on malt and hops. This beer carries through the coffee and chocolate flavours, but increased intensity, mouth feel and adds a hint of booziness.

#014 Pale Ale
Released: November 2016
Hops: Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Cascade, Simcoe, Centennial
Malt: Pale, Melanoidin, Carapils, Crystal
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 4.6%
Coming into summer at the end of the year we wanted to showcase a Pale Ale with a nice malt body without being overbearing with a good hop bitterness and aroma. Something easy drinking enough for the traditional beer drinker who may not have taken the plunge into more complex beer styles yet, but also something for the beer enthusiast to enjoy. Frase was heard to exclaim after tasting this that it might be Grum's best beer yet!

#013 Double IPA
Released: August 2016
Hops: Chinook, Columbus, Sorachi Ace, Citra, Cascade, Motueka, Ahtanum, Simcoe, Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin
Malt: Pale, Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 8.5%
It was a long time between Double IPA's, too long in fact so we figured it was about time to whip up another one. Grum changed the recipe around a little from #008 and we were rapt with the outcome. A complex malt body and big hop presence in aroma and bitterness. A very deliberately different style of IPA to our core range one. We didn't want to go with the 'bigger brother' version, rather with a completely different style.

#012 Pale Ale
Released: December 2015
Hops: Centennial, Citra, Mosaic
Malt: Pale, Carapils, Munich, Crystal, Oats
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 3.5%
This was the very first beer we brewed out of the new brewhouse which we share with KAIJU! We had done quite a few beer styles at the higher ABV end of the scale and we thought that we would like to try a mid strength pale ale in the warmer months to see what people would think of it. We were really happy with the balance of flavours, and the malt and hops intertwined nicely to give a good, flavoured easy drinking pale perfect for BBQ weather (subject to usual Melbourne weather disclaimers).

#011 American Red IPA
Released: November 2015
Hops: Centennial, Ahtanum, Simcoe, Citra, Cascade
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich, Amber, Crystal
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 7.9%
We had a couple of problems with this beer when we released it due to a faulty glycol system which prevented us from chilling the beer down to the level to allow a lot of the yeast and crud to settle in the bottom of the tank and despite yeasting off 3 or 4 times it was still a bit cloudier than what we would have liked. Also a little bit under carbonated for what we were aiming for. None of this seemed to matter to you folk out there who seemed to love the flavours and aromas of the beer and was another one to sell very quickly. Was very comforting to us that the people who liked this beer could see past what the beer looked like and loved it for the taste. Kudos to you all.

#010 West Coast IPA
Released: September 2015
Hops: Columbus, Citra, Motueka, Mosaic
Malt: Pilsner, Maris Otter, Carapils
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 7.0%
One of our favourite styles of beer. We wanted to keep the malt base very pale and simple to allow the hops to shine through. This was our most popular beer to this stage in terms of how quickly it sold and it seemed to strike a chord amongst you people out there too. We weren't going to argue, so this beer became the base for what would eventually become our core range IPA.

#009 American Pale Ale
Released: June 2015
Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Nelson Sauvin
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich
Yeast: Safale US0
ABV: 6.0%
Some of our friends and family members have gluten intolerances and they still like beer. We thought we would make a beer just for them (and many others who suffer gluten intolerance of various levels). We used ingredients which contain gluten, however we added an enzyme called Clarex from DSM, which when added to the fermentation process breaks down specific gluten proteins in the beer. We had the beer tested and it showed less than 1.5PPM. Although none of our friends or anyone we spoke to had an adverse reaction, we need to mention that the FDA does not consider the type of testing we used valid in products containing alcohol.

#008 Double IPA
Released: May 2015
Hops: Columbus, Ahtanum, Centennial, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Citra, Cascade, Chinook
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal
Yeast: Safale US0
ABV: 9.0%
Our first GABS beer. Rather than do an outlandish style, we thought we would have a bit of fun with the name and thus decided to invent a new style of beer - the Double Session XXXPA. Don't tell anyone but it's really just a Double IPA.

#007 Smoked Stout
Released: April 2015
Hops: Columbus, Chinook
Malt: Maris Otter, Smoked, Crystal, Roasted Barley, Chocolate, Peated, Rolled Oats
Yeast: Safale US0
ABV: 5.5%
One of Grum's homebrewed beers that he fed the neighbours with when he was living in Ireland (made a certain local product "taste like pish" according to one local) was a Smoked Stout. It went down so well over there we thought we may as well see what the locals thought over here.

#006 Saison
Released: February 2015
Hops: Nelson Sauvin, Sorachi Ace, Citra, Cascade
Malt: Pilsner, Pale
Yeast: White Labs Belgian II Saison (WLP 566)
ABV: 6.2%
Our very first beer proved to be very popular so we thought that we would try it again and mix up the hops a bit. For our first Saison we couldn't get Nelson Sauvin, for this one we couldn't get Galaxy. The curse of the Saison was born. Luckily no one seemed to mind too much and we picked up a couple of medals for this beer along the way.

#005 Amber Ale
Released: February 2015
Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Cascade, Ahtanum
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal, Amber
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 5.6%
While living in the UK, we saw the birth and growth of Brewdog and were very much inspired by what they brought to beer in the UK and how they smashed down doors for so many other great breweries who followed them. One of our favourite Brewdog beers was 5AM Saint. We loved the rich complexity of the malt and the great hop character which balanced it out all in a very sessionable beer. We wanted to try our take on the style and it proved very popular.

#004 IPA
Released: August 2014
Hops: Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra
Malt: Maris Otter, Munich, Crystal
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 6.2%
It took us a while to brew our first IPA which given our love of the style surprised not only our friends but us as well. We finally got around to it and brewed an American style IPA. To this point this was our most popular beer and pretty well received across the board. It convinced us that really we should brew more IPA's. More on that later.

#003 Milk Stout
Released: July 2014
Hops: Magnum, East Kent Goldings
Malt: Maris Otter, Crystal, Chocolate, Roasted Barley, Rolled Oats
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 5.2%
Called a Milk Stout because lactose is added to the boil, which doesn't ferment out leaving a slight residual sweetness on the pallet. Another style we really enjoyed on our beer travels. We had quite a few Milk Stouts when living in the UK but we were really impressed with a few US takes on the style. In particular, we loved Left Hand's Milk Stout and that definitely inspired us to make this beer.

#002 Scotch Ale
Released: June 2014
Hops: Galaxy, Sorachi Ace, Centennial
Malt: Maris Otter, Crystal, Munich, Smoked, Peated, Roasted Barley
Yeast: Safale US05
ABV: 7.5%
We spent a lot of time getting to know and love beer living in the UK for over 10 years. One of the local styles we really enjoyed was the Scotch Ale. A nicely complex malt blend with a touch of peat and smoked malt to give a warming character to the beer.

#001 Saison
Released: May 2014
Hops: Galaxy, Sorachi Ace, Citra
Malt: Pilsner, Pale
Yeast: White Labs Belgian II Saison (WLP 566)
ABV: 6.2%
This was our first commercial beer. Brewed in 2014. It was our homage to the country which made us fall in love with beer. We'd been fortunate to enjoy many Saisons during our frequent visits to Belgium. We decided we wanted to make a fairly traditional style with simple malt base, but we used some new world hops to give it a contemporary twist.
